Adverbs of place

Estos adverbios dicen dónde ocurre algo.

Ejemplos: upstairs, around, here, in London, out of the window

Suelen ir al final de la frase, aunque también pueden ir al principio, especialmente en el lenguaje literario.

The children are playing upstairs

Come and sit here

Don´t throw orange peel out of the window

Los adverbios de dirección (movimiento) van antes de los adverbios de posición: the children are running around upstairs

Here y there generalmente suelen ir al principio de la frase, en este orden:

Here / There + verbo + sujeto

Here comes your bus – here your bus comes

There´s Alice

Los pronombres personales sujeto van justo después de here y there:

Here it comes – here comes it

There she is – there is she
